The Multi-Cultural, Non-Denominational Quarterly Magazine that
EVANGELIZES, EDUCATES & EDIFIES!

Last year, I went through a very traumatic experience
with the illness and death of my mother. There is not one experience in our
lives that is so dreaded as death. People seem to not even want to talk about
it, or attend a loved one's funeral; they do not want to face death. But death
is inevitable. It is around us. God has taken people all around you, yet your
heart is still beating. But one day your heart will stop and your soul will
live somewhere forever. Where will that be?
Our souls will either be enjoying the supreme happiness
of being in the presence of the Lord or suffering the eternal misery of Hell.
What happens at death? The Bible answers this question in Ecclesiastes 12:7
that says, "Then shall the dust return to
the earth as it was, and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it." Death
will come to us as sure as the sun rises. There is indeed a certainty and
reality to death.
As Christians we shouldn't worry about death, because at
death the soul of the Christian will immediately pass into Glory. When Lazarus
died, he was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom (Luke 16:22). There is
without a doubt, a heavenly escort of angels awaiting God's people at their
death to carry them in triumph from earth to heaven. I believe after death the
redeemed soul will experience something far more awesome than anything ever
experienced in this world. It will be a real homegoing for the saint of God.
The Bible says, "we are willing rather to
be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord" (2 Corinthians 5:8).
There are only two places where your soul can spend
eternity…Heaven or Hell. However, there are some conditions if you want to die
the death of the righteous. You must first believe that Jesus Christ is the son
of God and that He is God; that He died and rose again. You must also repent of
your sins and renounce Satan with all his pernicious ways and all sinful
pleasures of this world. You must covenant with God in Christian baptism to
take Jesus as the Master of your life and live as a disciple of His. Or you can
keep on living a sinful life not acknowledging God and suffer in torment in
Hell.
So, what's it gonna be? The choice is yours!
Yours In Christ,
