NO

Why is it that Christians have a hard time saying, “No”? We can not possibly do it all so why the guilt in saying “No”. No, my sisters and brothers is a complete sentence! It needs no explanation.

When we say “no” we do not have to have reason, excuse or feel guilty. No means no! If someone asks us to do something we know we are not able to do, why do we feel as Christians we must say yes? God did not call us to do it all and especially not in our own strength. Some things require us to seek God for His direction. Others decisions are plain for us and require our only examining if we are able to do it or not. If we can not do it then we should be able to say “no” and leave the guilt in the hands of the enemy who loves to burden us with it. The dictionary defines the word "guilt" as a "feeling of responsibility or remorse for some offense, crime, wrong, etc., whether real or imagined." Saying no is not a sin and requires no need to confess and seek forgiveness. We can say, “No” and no one has the right to make us feel bad about saying it. Saints, do not try to do it all but do what God has called, empowered, equipped, led and guided you to do. Much of our weariness is due to our inability to say “no”. The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? (Psalms 27:1). Do not be afraid to say, “No! I will not be able to do that”!
